Basic calculations (1 cr)
In this section we train on basic calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. You will learn how to do calculations with fractions and how to shorten and extend fractions. The techniques are implemented on drug dosing calculations.
Unit conversion (1 cr)
In this section you will learn how to do unit conversion that are typical in drug calculations. You will learn the most common unit prefixes that are used in drug calculations.
Persentage (2 cr)
In this section we do percentage calculations that are typical for drug calculations, and implement it especially on dilution calculations.

Alternative 1. Write a short article (min 2000 words abstract with max 150 words excluded) about one of the topics above
Content: Introduction, Headings 1 - 3 and Conclusion
Alternative 2. Create a blog and update it on a regular base (minimum 4 times and minimum 500 words each time) during May- October 2020 where you write about one of the topics above
Alternative 3. Write a short debate article for a daily newspaper (following the guidelines for debate article) about one of the topics above
Use instructions for written assignments when writing an article (you can also use Vancouver or Harvard system). The aim is to publish your article in Novialia or a non-scientific nursing journal.
When publishing you need to have a second author, your supervisor. It will be Anita Wikberg. The second writer (AW) gives supervision, corrects manuscript and influences this way on the manuscript).
When writing a blog, the forum and manuscripts must be approved by the supervisor (AW) before publication. Use the given instructions for the forum where you publish your blog. The blog is published at Novia blogs. The supervisor's name will be mentioned in the blog.
When writing a short debate article, the manuscript must be approved by the supervisor and include the supervisors name before publishing.
The manuscripts must be sent to your supervisor through Urkund for all three alternatives

Nursing science and intercultural care: one written assignment in a group, if not accepted or not presented there is a possibility to do a written exam twice on the two general exams following the seminar
Seminar and presentation the last lecture of the course, the class is divided in two groups.
If the assignment is not submitted, not presented or not accepted, there are two retake possibilities (written exams). Retake exam for this course is 11th of December 2020 and 22nd of January 2021. Registration is necessary in advance according to Novia instructions.

Nursing ethics includes 7 online tests, each can be taken three times
Nursing science and intercultural care: one written assignment in a group, if not accepted or not presented there is a possibility to do a written exam twice on 11th of December 2020 and/or 22nd of January 2021. Registration have to be done well in advance.
Seminar and presentation the last lecture of the course, the class is divided in two groups.
If the assignment is not submitted, not presented or not accepted, there are two retake possibilities (written exams). Retake exams are11th of December 2020 and/or 22nd of January 2021. Registration have to be done well in advance.
Registration is necessary in advance according to Novia instructions.
To augment an accepted grade students have only one retake.
