The training in Industrial Management and Engineering offers an opportunity for the engineer with at least a bachelor’s degree in the field of technology to develop their leadership skills alongside the regular work. The main objectives of education are professional and personal development in areas related to the challenges in working life. This study program is a response to the needs for development and change that companies and other organizations face. Internationalization, the development of artificial intelligence and other new technologies have made it more important for production and service-oriented companies and other organizations to develop their personnel in order to maintain and improve their profitability and growth. Still, the challenges in leading people remains. This calls for mature leaders with a broad perspective on what they are doing, how, when and where.
The main goal is to strengthen the participants' learning and development process. We hope that this personal development will also contribute to future development in the student’s working communities. For organizational leaders, work challenges include strategic choices, the clarification of the organization's goals, cross-border cooperation, team management, customer-oriented activities, networking, and the initiation and development of new product and service concepts. Those graduated from this study program are familiar with human resource management and development issues. The education offers contents and methods enabling students to deepen their self-knowledge and develop their leadership skills. Those graduated have foreman skills suitable for leading teams, groups, processes, units, departments and companies.
