The student will be able to:
- assess vital signs
- employ aseptic technique
- understand and manage nursing care when a patient is isolated due to illness reasons
- support the patient’s hygiene
- demonstrate knowledge and perform skills in basic care, and in promoting physiological health (activity, exercise, sleep)
- assist a client with nutritional matters
- obtain knowledge about, and provide, oxygen therapy
- know the importance of ergonomic working methods and show skills in moving and handling patients
- demonstrate knowledge about skin integrity and different types of wounds, as well as perform skills in wound care
- service design in social and health care in relation to patient information and supervision
