    Students are familiar with the ordinary EU legislative procedure
    Students understand the binding impact of EU treaties on member states.
    Students are familiar with the constituents of secondary law and can explain some important parts.
    Assessment criteria – good (3-4)
    Students can explain the ordinary legislative procedure in the EU, and also explain the background to the laws from an economic, social and environmental perspective.
    Students understand the binding impact of EU treaties on member states and can account for the most central treaties
    Students know the elements of secondary law and can explain them. Students can describe the purpose of secondary law to achieve the objectives of the EU treaties.
    Assessment criteria – excellent (5)
    Students can report on the ordinary legislative procedure in the EU, and also explain the background to the laws from an economic, social and environmental perspective as well as the consequences the laws have on the EU population. Students can use EUR-lex as a search tool.
    Students can explain the importance of the EU treaties to the member states and also explain the impact of the most central treaties on national legislation.
    Students can explain the constituents of secondary law and explain the purpose of the legal acts in order to achieve the objectives of the EU treaties. Students can explain the status of secondary law in relation to national law.
