    Competence objectives of the study unit
    The student
    - understands the importance of the housing construction industry in society
    - knows basic laws and regulations that govern house building
    - know the factors that affect the planning of houses
    - knows the working methods and building materials that belong to house frames, masonry structures, windows and doors, plumbing installations, facade materials and water roofs, plastering, wet areas
    - is familiar with how a detached house is built from earthworks to interior design

    - Factors that govern the planning of houses
    - Building styles and architecture
    - Building materials, materials for load-bearing frames
    - Various parts of a house construction, such as walls, plumbing installations, plastering, facade materials, insulation materials, wet rooms etc.
