    Competence objectives of the study unit
    After passing the course, the student is expected to:
    - be able to define, identify and describe basic concepts in laser scanning
    - be able to understand basic principles for different laser scanning methods
    - be able to explain and defend the basic principles of laser scanning methods
    - be able to compare and select the method of laser scanning task
    Prerequisites
    None
    Content of the study unit
    - laser scanning terminology
    - different types of laser scanning instruments
    - the data content of the point cloud
    - processing / editing of point clouds
    - classification of laser scanned points
    Assessment criteria
    Assessment criteria – satisfactory (1-2)
    - know the terminology of laser scanning
    - know the principles of laser scanning
    - know the different technical solutions and measurement methods for laser scanning
    Assessment criteria – good (3-4)
    can process scanned material using appropriate software
    Assessment criteria – excellent (5)
    can classify and analyze scanned material and make drawings and models
