Registration for participation in the course should also be made in person to the lecturer no later than the second week after the start of the course. Active participation in the course is a prerequisite for obtaining a grade!

In the course, a benchmarking task is done in groups. The students themselves choose companies where they do the tasks.
The benchmarking task including report is an examination. If necessary, a tent can be included at the end of the course.

The time required consists of active participation in the lectures, benchmarking assignment as well as report writing and presentation preparations as well as presentation. In addition, presentations by other groups should also be heard.
The course starts with a lecture period. This is followed by group work and a presentation period.
Students fail if:
- The exam is failed
- Did not participate in the lectures or benchmarking tasks
- The benchmarking information (and any exam) is rejected.
Understand what a management system is and know different types of them

Understand process thinking and process management as well as the need for meters for evaluation of processes

Knows the most common ISO standards for management systems
Benchmarking of management systems:
Can collaborate in groups and with company representatives to investigate management systems in a company
Know the main features of a management system as a leadership tool and understand the importance of introducing and maintaining them

Can describe and follow a process description

Understands the connection between the standards and the company's operations and management
Benchmarking of management system:
Can describe the discoveries made in connection with the visit
Have the skills to critically look at the benefits of management systems for production, product quality and company finances

Can critically evaluate how well the processes work according to established process descriptions.

Can critically evaluate a company's management system's compatibility with the current (ISO) standard.
