Objective

Students can understand and apply the different steps of the research processes, seek and utilize scientific text, and write text in a style suitable for scientific writing.

Assessment methods and criteria

In the examination and the written assignment, the student's familiarity with the various aspects of the research process and various scientific methods is evaluated. The evaluation also include academic writing.

The criteria for grade 1-2 are not met.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student's knowledge of the various aspects of the research process and scientific methods is fundamental but limited.

Able to plan a longer writing assignment and knows the principles of scientific writing in general.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student's knowledge of the various aspects of the research process and scientific methods is good.

Good ability to plan a longer writing assignment and masters the linguistic style that is appropriate at the degree project level

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student's knowledge of the various aspects of the research process and scientific methods is exceptionally good.

Excellent ability to plan a longer writing assignment and masters the linguistic style that is suitable at the degree project level.
