The student
- can measure trees, tree stocks and growth
- can, with the help of tables, calculate volumes of individual trees and tree stocks
- knows the definitions of different development classes and can identify these in the field

Diameter and height measurement
From dimensions to volumes using different methods
Age measurement and growth concept
Introduction to the use of maps
Moose or deer hunting can be included as an exercise in the use of maps
