Subjects of the course:
- Adapting design thinking in complex development needs of the changing society in a sustainable way
- Policies for sustainable development
- Life-centered design
- Analysing operations, and planning and developing strategies for an organisation to deal with changing situations
- Service design project - adapting theory to a real working life project with a commissionerThe commissioner is the city of Turku, unit of Mobility services – service unit.
The purpose of the study project is to develop strategies and services for lifelong housing in the city of Turku. The goal is to research what elements enable the whole lifespan of living and how existing housing should be improved in Turku so that it supports sustainable mobility. The question is what kind of services and service possibilities would be needed, especially when it comes to mobility, logistics, sustainability, and well-being.
You will work in groups of 3 – 4 persons. Your goal during the course is to create a strategy (vision, mission, values and culture) with service concepts that enable lifelong living supported by mobility, and finally design a roadmap for cooperation and engagement of stakeholders concerning the strategy.
