- knows the basic structure of an energy storage system with batteries
- masters the basis for choosing components for energy storage systems with batteries
- understands the importance of fire and electrical safety in connection with energy storage
- knows the central parameters for dimensioning energy storage systems with batteries

- battery types, different types of battery packs for energy storage (new and reused)
- components for connection to the mains
- inverter technology, DC-AC-DC conversion
- monitoring system BMS-PCS-EMS
- fire and electrical safety in connection with energy storage systems
- cooling and climate system
- power capacity, lifetime, self-discharge, state of charge, etc.

Can describe the basic components and structure as well as battery types for energy storage systems. Can describe the difference in the purposes of use for energy storage systems.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Can compare characteristics and limitations of equipment and processes within energy storage systems. Understands the importance of fire and electrical safety in connection with energy storage.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Can explain and apply the central parameters for dimensioning energy storage systems with batteries. Can perform component selection for an energy storage system with batteries.
Can explain characteristics and limitations of equipment and processes within energy storage systems.
