The programme is aimed at people with an immigrant background with a previous upper secondary or higher education qualification who need support in getting their previous qualifications or studies recognised in Finland.
The programme consists of three modules: preparation for university studies, language studies and elective courses.
Objective
The student:
-practise skills necessary for studying at a university of applied sciences, such as study techniques, use of digital learning environments and self-studies
- gain knowledge of the Finnish education system and the opportunities available, with a particular focus on Novia University of Applied Sciences' programme offerings
- improve language skills, mainly in Swedish but also in Finnish and English if needed
