Learning Goals for the Study Period (Course)
Upon successful completion of the course, students are expected to be able to:

• Demonstrate familiarity with their University of Applied Sciences (UAS) and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
• Reflect on their studies, curricula, and the structure of academic programs.
• Identify and apply various study formats, methods, and learning tools.
• Navigate and utilize Novia’s information channels and the Peppi system effectively.
• Understand the principles of sustainable development and how they apply within higher education and their professional field.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of sustainability from global and systemic perspectives, including the distinction between linear and circular systems.
• Recognize sustainability principles relevant to their field and understand how Novia UAS integrates sustainability into its operations.
• Be aware of the global regulatory framework for sustainability, including key organizations responsible for its development and enforcement.
• Understand the interplay between political agendas, corporate sustainability strategies, evolving consumer demands, and the role of the programme’s curriculum in shaping sustainable professional practices.
