The student:

- adapts safe and sustainable working methods such as asepsis and ergonomics
- knows how to assess and evaluate patient´s vital signs
- demonstrates knowledge and perform skills in basic care, and in promoting physiological health
- obtains knowledge of first aid, and be prepared to act in accordance with the requirements of the acute situation
- understands patient safety and sustainability in different nursing contexts
- is aware of ethical and cultural issues in different nursing contexts

Assess and evaluate vital signs
Aseptic technique and routine safety precautions
Patient is isolated due to illness reasons
Patient’s hygiene, activity, exercise, sleep
Nutritional matters (malnutrition), weight monitoring, measure and monitoring nutrition
Oxygen therapy
Ergonomic working methods and show skills in moving and handling patients, kinesthetic
Skin integrity and different types of wounds, as well as perform skills in wound care
First aid
Patient safety and sustainability, waste management
