The Student:
- can plan, perform, and evaluate person-centered or client-centered internal medical and surgical nursing care with the patient under supervision in interprofessional collaboration
- can apply evidence-based methods in internal medical and surgical nursing care
- can use various evidence-based nursing care recommendations in the planning of nursing care and apply sustainable nursing care methods in internal medical and surgical nursing work
- can document and report accurately
- can professionally interact with patients and their relatives
- considers patient and client safety and applies aseptic principles in patient care
- can support and guide patients
- can care for patients receiving enteral and parenteral nutrition and fluid therapy
- can identify ethical problems and demonstrate an ethical approach in various care situations, within the work community, and in the student role
- can plan, perform, and evaluate safe medication management
- can communicate with patients and colleagues in Swedish or Finnish at Level A1

The Student:
- has achieved the learning objectives for the internship at a satisfactory level
- is open to feedback and demonstrates a willingness to develop professional skills
- follows work schedules and respects agreed-upon times
- ask relevant questions that support the learning process
- generally works in a structured manner and demonstrates basic accuracy during key tasks
- can carry out tasks under supervision
- possesses basic knowledge and actively engages by asking insightful questions
- can follow guidelines and instructions and takes responsibility for assigned tasks
- can make basic decisions related to work assignments
- understands professional values and adheres to ethical principles
- communicates appropriately and respectfully with patients, clients, and customers
- demonstrates the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- can communicate with patients and colleagues in Swedish or Finnish at the expected level
