Objective
The Student:
- understands longer speech sequences and the main content of patient conversations and instructions from nurses and physicians, when familiar with the topic and when speech is delivered at a normal pace
- follows patient consultations, team discussions, and healthcare training sessions with relative ease
- understands commonly used texts in nursing practice, such as patient documentation, care instructions, and general medical articles, while recognizing that unfamiliar or highly technical material may require additional support
- handles typical spoken communication in clinical environments, including discussing patient care with colleagues, providing basic instructions to patients, and engaging in routine team meetings
- writes coherent and context-appropriate texts related to nursing practice, including patient reports, care plans, and handover notes, with minor grammatical or vocabulary errors that do not significantly impact understanding
