Studieperiodens (kursens) lärandemål

The student will:
-obtain knowledge of, and demonstrate skills in, perioperative nursing, (preoperative assessment and evaluation, intraoperative nursing and postoperative and surgical nursing skills)
-obtain knowledge of, and demonstrate skills in managing the fluid balance, focusing on intravenous and blood infusions, drainage and catheters
-understand the importance of diagnostic investigations, x-rays, laboratory tests and ECG and be able to assist with these procedures. Will also be able to independently carry out a simple laboratory test when needed.
-demonstrate skills in assessing, implementing and evaluating the nursing process in different clinical settings
-demonstrate a holistic perspective of nursing care in case studies
-health technology
