Objective
The student:
- has knowledge about epidemiology and relate it to different geographical areas and health risks specific for different areas
- has knowledge about tropical diseases and their etiology
- is aware of the modes of transmission, prevention, treatment and care related to extremely contagious diseases
- know the diseases prevented by vaccination both nationally and internationally
- has deeper understanding of preventive care and treatment at the most common national and global infectious diseases
- has knowledge about the epidemiology of infectious diseases and tropical diseases
- has knowledge of medical terminology and drug treatment in immunological conditions
- have skills about guidance and preparation of vaccinations, knowledge about vaccination techniques and evaluation after a vaccination
- have knowledge about vaccinations, advantages with vaccinations and side effects of vaccinations
- understands the importance of health promotion, preventive care and rehabilitation in relation to immunological diseases
