Objective

The student:
- takes part in a multiprofessional team and create a natural caring relationship with the patient and family
- communicates with patients and colleagues in Swedish or Finnish, the main supervision will be carried out in Swedish or Finnish
- follows the general rules and routines in a working environment
- demonstrates an understanding of health promotion working methods and implement these in his/her own practice
- is familiar with the health centre organization, as well as the working methods at different wards and receptions
- implements the nursing process into the care for an ill child or a pregnant woman in real situations, under supervision
- applies evidence-based nursing, as well as identify and analyze the specific needs of the child, the pregnant woman and the family
- demonstrates the ability to support the patient and the family in the rehabilitation process
- employs safe working methods
- performs safe drug administration for children and pregnant women
- guides the family in health promotion and illness prevention
- employs health promotion working methods
