Materials

According to the lecturers instructions.
Students follow the thesis writing instructions for Novia UAS.
Topic of Thesis and data, resources within the own research area.

Self studies and individual guidance.
Guidance in group sessions.

Collaboration within the industry is aimed for.
Customers, collaboration partners and sponsors.

Exam schedules

Students work individually with their Thesis. However, the research plan seminar will be in Spring 2024, week 5, 1st February.

1. Research Plan. Students present their own plan at research plan seminar February 1st, 1cr, deadline for submission of research plan: the week before, January 25th 2024. Individual feedback and grade (Pass/Fail) are given after the seminar.
2. Opposition. Students have read the appointed student's work plan and oppose the plan at the research plan seminar, deadline: February 1st 2024. Feedback and grade are included in the opponent story's grade and feedback.
3. Opponent Story. Students write an opponent story for the appointed student's research plan (same as above), 1cr, deadline: February 1st 2024. Feedback and grade (Pass/Fail) are given via Moodle.

Completion alternatives

Finished and approved method and execution, grade Pass/Fail.
Feedback is given at/after the research plan seminar and during individual guidance sessions.

Student workload

The student work for Method 2cr, 54 hours Autumn 2023.
The student work for Execution 5cr, 135 hours Spring 2024.

The students work 27 hours/cr.

Self study: 176hrs

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass:
The student has followed instructions and shows sufficient knowledge about the theme. The student has shown interest.

Fail:
The student has not followed instructions and shows especially insufficient knowledge about the theme. The student has not shown much interest.
