The Student:
– is familiar with the theoretical foundations of social work, its target groups, and forms of practice
– develops a professional and client-centered approach to vulnerable individuals and groups in society
– is familiar with and can embrace the ethical foundations of social work
– can explain the fundamentals of client safety

Key theories, concepts and methods
Target groups and forms of practice in social work
Social work on individual, family, group and community levels
Participation, power dynamics, critical thinking and professionalism in social work
The ethical foundation of social work and human rights
Client safety

No prior knowledge is required

The student demonstrates superficial competence and basic understanding of the subject
