- understand the meaning of statistics, statistical methods and probability

Student workload
The total study time for the course is estimated to approximately 80 hours, of which 32 hours are scheduled and the rest is divided into exercises and assignments that the student performs outside the scheduled time.

Assessment methods and criteria
The course is assessed on the scale 0-5 as follows;
- report on own statistical survey (during the course), 50%
- exam (end of course), 50%
- Assignments (during the course), GK/U
All assignments must be submitted and approved for passing the course (the assignments/exercises are individual).
The course is assessed on the basis of the course's learning goals and;
- The study/report contains what it should and is well done
- students can follow the writing instructions
- students can demonstrate that they can calculate, use and apply the statistical concepts and Excel competences included in the course.

The student does not meet the requirement for satisfactory knowledge.
