Objective

The student:
* is able to work in a structural design team for the planning of concrete structures as well as foundations of ordinary and more demanding buildings according to Eurocode 2 and according to the national Land Use and Building Act § 120 d and e (17.1.2014/41) normal and difficult tasks
* is also able to use building information modelling (BIM) techniques in the design phase.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Familiar with how deflection and crack width are calculated for concrete beams and slabs. Familiar with the operation of tensioned structures.
Can calculate cross-armored plates with elemental fall method.
Familiar with the difficulties of ground-level tiles.
Know the most common concrete elements.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Can calculate deflection and crack width for beams and slabs. Can describe the operation of tensioned structures.
Can design base soles and pile plates.
Can calculate cross-armored plates with fault line theory.
Can design pillar deck with strip method.
Can dimension wall beams and brackets. Can dimension ground-level plate.
have basic skills in element planning
Can make design drawings using current program

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Can account for the most central factors that influence the final load capacity of a reinforced structure.
Can dimension pile plates.
Can concentrate reinforcement in cross-reinforced plates.
