After completing this course, the student is expected to:
• be able to verbalise and write about their own artistic work
• be able to write an artist statement, a cv, and a project plan
• be able to create a website and a portfolio
• be able to define and identify with the professional role of the artist
• have an understanding of entrepreneurship and business ownership
• have an understanding of how the creative fields are financed
• understand how grants and stipends work and how research is financed
• be familiar with the role of the artist as an innovator/the artist-entrepreneur
• be familiar with international collaborations

Independent work, group assignments and team work that furthers the student’s own process of becoming a professional artist
