Objective
After completing this course, the student is expected to:
• be able to recognize important tendencies in painting, and actively follow contemporary developments in painting
• be able to give a summary of the purposes, materials, techniques and tools of painting, as well as occupational safety in theory and practice
• be able to view the field of contemporary art through the lens of painting, and be able to show the results of their own work in public
• present an overview of painting as a phenomenon, its tradition, and current contemporary trends in painting

Contents of the study unit
Lectures, group assignments, artistic assignments connected to the topic, as well as independent work. How to hang paintings in an exhibition context.
