Objective

- Plan, carry out and evaluate instrument teaching and the learning process of students with regard to an advanced level.
- Integrate theory and practice in pedagogical activities by demonstrating didactic variations, analytical and critical problem solving, creative solutions and inner reflection.
- Have experience in leading group teaching and ensemble activities.
- Practise and reflect on collegial collaboration in teaching.
- Communicate and reflect on the teaching process and the consequences of different courses of action, including in group teaching and ensemble activities.
- In their practical work, demonstrate an increased analytical awareness of their ability to evaluate, question and change their own professional practice and professional development as a music educator.
- Demonstrate a deeper awareness of the ethical and social dimensions of teaching.

Content

- Instrument teaching with practice students at advanced level through individual and group teaching. 20 x 45 min divided into autumn and spring semesters.
- Analysing and evaluating learning processes with focus on advanced level.

Qualifications

Basic studies in pedagogics, subject didactics 1 and teaching exercise 1

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

To pass the course, the student must fulfil the learning outcomes and course content and submit a reflection report.
