The student:

- Understands the basic principles of play analysis

- Knows methods to deepen the scene analysis
- Has insight into the multifaceted work of the director
- Has knowledge of the geometry of the stage
- Have an understanding of the choice of venue
- Can develop a directing plan
- Can direct a self-selected scene
- Can use the different signs to clarify their own message
- Can think in symbols
- Be able to develop meaningful and purposeful warm ups
- Can give concrete feedback
- Has begun to develop a personal leadership style as a director and an idiom of their own.
- Understands that theatre work is communication
- Has an understanding of sustainability issues regarding work ethics in the theatre industry
