Objective

After passing the course the student is expected to:
- be able to define, identify and describe basic concepts in surveying technology
- be able to understand basic principles for surveying with leveling instruments, total station and GNSS instruments
- be able to perform, explain and defend the basic principles of detail surveying
- be able to choose the appropriate method for detail surveying task

Content

- the basic concept of geodesy, the measurement technique
- Measurement of distances, angles and altitude differences with total station, leveling instruments and GNSS instruments
- adjustment of leveling projects
- calculation of coordinates and setting out data

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student can carry out mapping survey with level instruments, total station and GNSS-instruments.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student can calculate coordinates and setting out data.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can independently plan, measure and calculate mapping surveys with level instruments, total station and GNSS-instruments.
