Objective

After passing the course the student is expected to:
- be able to define, identify and describe basic concepts in legal cadastral survey according to finnish law
- be able to understand basic principles for the procedure for legal cadastral survey according to finnish law
- be able to explain and defend the basic principles of the legal cadastral survey according to finnish law
- be able to compare and critically evaluate approaches to legal cadastral survey according to finnish law, both in relation to theory and practice

- the terminology of the finnish Real Estate Formation act
- the general procedure under the finnish Real Estate Formation act
- central concepts in connection valuation based cadastral survey, such as partitioning, legal road survey, expropriation, coercive purchase of reliction area, land exchange etc.

Is familiar with the general cadastral procedure in accordance with Real Estate Formation Act. Is familiar with the principles of the valuation proceedings; partition, expropriation for public road, expropriation of land eg.
