Objective

After passing the course the student is expected to:
- be able to define, identify and describe basic concepts in building measurements
- be able to understand basic principles for building measurements
- be able to explain and defend the basic principles of building measurement
- be able to choose the method for building measurements, depending on the measurement problem you have

- terminology
- building tolerance
- coordinate system
- frame measurements
- conversion of drawing dimensions into coordinates.
- release calculations based on coordinates
- measurement methods
- release of details on a construction site
- Digital Terrain Models and volume calculation

can read building drawings
can convert drawing dimensions into coordinates.

understands why setting out is needed on construction sites
can create DTM:s

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student shall be able to plan Construction Surveying following tolerances and execute volume calculations with DTM:S.
