The student:
* has an understanding of the importance of concrete technology from the point of view of construction planning
* is familiar with the fields and methods of application as well as construction types
* is familiar with the properties of concrete and knows the basic concepts largely used in concrete technology
* knows in broad outline the rules and regulations concerning concrete construction
* demonstrates an understanding of the importance of concrete technology from a technical and financial perspective as well as its environmental aspects.

- The additives of the concrete.
- Concrete exposure classes.
- Proportioning of concrete.
- Concrete hardening.
- Reinforcement methods, drawing symbols and quality.

Materials

Study material is available on the accompanying Moodle course.

Teaching methods

The working methods and course content are presented more detailed during the first lectures.

The course overview, weekly schedule and material are also available on the accompanying Moodle course.

The course includes theoretical lectures, concrete-laboratory assignments (mandatory attendance) as well as exercises and calculation tasks (mandatory assignments)

Exam schedules

The exam will be held in April 2026.
Re-examination is arranged at general re-examination sessions 8.5. and 22.5.2026.

Compulsory assignments are given in writing on the course's Moodle page during the course.

Student workload

The total study time for the course is estimated to approximately 130 hours, of which 56 hours are scheduled and the rest is divided into exercises, assignments and self-study, that the student performs outside the scheduled time.
