CNC ProgrammingLaajuus (6 cr)

Code: MAP22PT02

Credits

6 op

Objective

The course deals with cutting machining with focus on numerically controlled machining machines. After completing the course, students are expected to have broad-based insights into cutting machining methods and techniques. Students should be able to independently carry out programming of numerically controlled processing machines and use CAD / CAM programs. Students should also have good insights into the parameters that affect manufacturing costs and efficiency.

Content

Cutting processing
- CNC programming, lathe
- CNC programming, milling
- Laboratories, lathe
- Laboratory, milling

Qualifications

Manufacturing Technology

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Knows and identifies manufacturing methods

Know the basics of CNC programming. Is in agreement with the machinery used in the engineering industry.

Knows different types of cutting tools.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Understands the possibilities of different manufacturing methods in the manufacturing process

Can independently perform simpler CNC programming.

Can independently select suitable tools for the most basic machining work and know the most basic factors in optimizing the manufacturing process.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Can independently:
- select appropriate manufacturing methods in the manufacture of components
- program more advanced machining cycles and subprograms.
- choose suitable tools for most machining methods and be able to optimize the manufacturing process.
