Objective

After completing the course, the student will know the basics of how to work in an ERP system (Enerprise Resource Planning) and will have good knowledge of the systematics and logic behind this type of program. Students can recommend the right choice of ERP program for a future employer or for their own business.

In addition, the student should be able to:
Evaluate their own work and that of others
Critically study and give feedback to report works
Crictically evaluate different technical methods
Account for and discuss opinions
Argument and reason around technical questions

ERP-systems, program features, user interfaces.
Applications in the industry.
The implementation process.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Knows the importance of ERP programs in the manufacturing process
On request, can navigate an existing ERP program
Knows the connection between ERP programs and more profitable, more efficient production planning
Knows some of the area's central concepts in a foreign language
Can participate in a discussion about ERP programs

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Can choose ERP programs and make a plan for how it will be taken into use as well as insight into the investment, operation and expansion of the program architecture
Can store and create data in an ERP program
Understands how ERP programs affect profitability, financing and cash flow
Can understand texts in a foreign language that deal with the current theme
Can hold a presentation about ERP programs

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Can argue for and against different strategies and models for ERP implementation
Can understand the logic behind the ERP program enough to evaluate and propose improvements in the process
Can propose improvements that affect the company's profitability, financing and cash flow
Can read foreign language literature about ERP programs
Can describe and explain the role and importance of ERP programs to third parties
