The student:
Has an understanding of normal aging
Can assess the elderly patient's health, abilities and resources as well as support the person's choices regarding health and well-being
Can as part of an interprofessional team plan, execute, evaluate, document and report on a person-centered/client centered care in collaboration with the patient and relatives and demonstrate a reflective and ethical approach in care
Has expertise in care of the elderly and has knowledge of central geriatric illnesses, care chains and service system
Master evidence-based care methods and appropriate medication management
Can perform clinical examinations, functional measurements and treatments
