Objective

The student:
-can plan, implement and assess the follow-up of health, well-being and resources of expecting families as well as of families with infants
-can recognize risks and complications related to pregnancy and childbirth and can, if nesserary consult other experts in the field of maternal health care
-is familiar with the course of childbirth and can manage an emergency childbirth
- can, by use of sustainable resource promoting methods, advise clients in aspects related to pregnancy, childbirth, puerperium, couple relations and family planning
