The student:
- has knowledge of the legislation, the strategies and the health policy programmes that form the basic principles for public health nurses
- is well acquainted with the core values and ethical principles in public health nursing
- knows about the developmental stages of public health nursing
- understands the significance of social analysis as a main principle in health promotion work
- has the skills to support health promotion in a multicultural and changing society based on the needs of various population groups
-is able to identify and take into account society's challenges and is able to offer sustainable appropriate services and ensure the continuity of the care chain
- understands the importance of quality an can work for sustainable development in public health care work
