Objective
The Student:
- can plan, implement, evaluate and document the client’s care in maternal health care during pregnancy and puerperium
- can identify the client’s resources and health barriers and support the health of the pregnant woman and the expectant family
- recognises high-risk pregnancies, complications during pregnancy and childbirth and can refer the client for further treatment
- can work in a family-centred way in supporting the family who is expecting a child and take into account the client's and family's cultural affiliation and family structure
- has insight into interprofessional work and can participate in networks to promote health and wellbeing in the pregnant mother and the expectant family.
