The Student:
- can plan, perform, evaluate, and document person-centered nursing care under supervision in interprofessional collaboration
- can apply evidence-based methods in an optional nursing care context
- can identify ethical problems and demonstrate an ethical approach
- can professionally interact with patients and their relatives
- consider patient safety and apply aseptic principles in patient care
- can guide the patient
- can plan, perform, and evaluate safe medication management

Internship information and internship seminar


The internship can be done as a summer internship after academic year 3
The internship can be conducted in acute nursing care, maternity nursing care, nursing care of children, adolescents, and families, internal medical and/or surgical nursing care, nursing care of individuals in need of special support, primary nursing care, mental health and addiction nursing care, elderly nursing care, palliative nursing care, and end-of-life nursing care

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student:
- has achieved satisfactory goals for the internship section
- can receive feedback and show willingness to develop professional skills
- follows the worklist and keeps agreed times
- can ask questions that are relevant for learning a work
- for the most part, it works in a planned manner and has a basic accuracy at important work moments
- can perform tasks under supervision
- has basic knowledge and can ask questions that are relevant for learning a work
- can follow directives and instructions and take responsibility for tasks
- can make decisions concerning tasks at the basic level
- knows the values and consider the ethical principles
- can communicate and respond to patients / clients / customers
- can work with others in the work team
