Objective

The Student:
- can define and apply the concepts and principles of radiation protection in conventional radiography, dental care and animal imaging.
- can identify, evaluate and minimise the risks of using radiation and preparing and responsible for radiation safety incidents
- can justify their decisions on the basis of existing laws and regulations in conventional radiography, dental and animal x-ray operations, and implement and monitor radiation protection arrangements in their area of ​​expertise, including radiation protection for workers and the public,
- can guide the safe use of radiation, in the introduction of new methods and its optimisation, in quality assurance and to contribute to the development of a good safety culture regarding radiation in collaboration with the radiation safety expert

Qualifications

Students have completed all courses within the study unit Fundamentals of Care and Radiography as well as RAD26RA01, RAD26RA03 with a passing score and the respective modality.
