Objective

The Student:
- can apply central legislation and national strategies

- can consider how climate and global events affect mental health
- has knowledge of various treatment and nursing care methods in mental health and substance abuse nursing care, including medication management
- can assess care needs in acute psychiatric illness
- can evaluate guidance needs and resources, and can support and guide the client/patient and relatives to engage in care
- is familiar with the nursing care chain and service system
- can identify risky use, harmful use, various forms of abuse, addiction, and co-dependency

The central psychiatric diseases
Professional approach to individuals suffering from psychiatric diseases or addiction
Person-centered/client-centered and family-centered care and guidance methods
Motivation for self-care
