Objective
The student will be able to:
- understand the duties and responsibilities (including occupational safety responsibilities) of a construction manager as a supervisor of demanding construction projects
- have a realistic understanding of the duties of a construction manager as a supervisor of demanding construction projects, based on fundamental theoretical knowledge of the duties and practical experience of the duties on a large construction site
- draw up an accurate schedule for a high-rise building project based on contract documents so that it is carried out in a sustainable manner in terms of both occupational safety and the environmental aspects of construction and building materials,
- and be familiar with safety regulations for construction work
The student is also familiar with and is able to describe:
- the inspection procedure from A to Z for both high-rise and low-rise construction
- safety regulations for the use of construction machinery
- the supervisor's responsibility for their employees and third parties (especially when renovating buildings containing asbestos, fungi and microbes), and
- what good leadership requires and entails, i.e. how to lead different employees individually and as a work community in order to maintain schedules, quality, occupational safety and economy for the entire project

- how does a good supervisor lead a high-rise building with all its challenges
Qualifications
The educational module Introduction to Building Techniques and the courses Introductory Work Safety and Construction Law and Site Management and Production Planning, or similar knowledge
