Objective

The student is able to:
- draw up a quotation, schedule and contract for a construction project and understands their significance for the final result and overall economy
- draw up a quotation, schedule and contract for a construction project that is demanding in terms of building legislation, based on quotation request material

The student is also familiar with and can describe:
- the different types of contracts commonly used in construction in Finland
- which types of contracts and agreements are usually most suitable for the contractor versus the client in terms of risks and financial and work-related aspects, as the agreement and its content bind the various parties

Content

- general requirements, conditions and procedures for quotation request materials, quotes, schedules and contracting contracts within construction.
- different in Finland common types of contract that occur within the construction industry
- which agreements are best suited to the contractor versus the client, in terms of the economic and working side
- to provide a quotation, timetable and contract for a demanding construction project based on quotation request material.

Qualifications

The educational modules Introduction to Building Techniques, Residential and Public Buildings, Mathematics and the course Introductory Work Safety and Construction Law, or similar knowledge
