Objective

The student will be able to:
- understand the overall implications of managing construction projects involving many parties and companies, and has a realistic understanding of the organisation, management and construction of demanding large-scale construction projects
- use schedules in their work management tasks during the construction phase and understand their significance for the project as a whole
- apply correct occupational safety requirements in practice and take into account the environmental aspects and consequences of construction and building materials correctly and in an environmentally friendly manner in work planning and the management of construction work
- work independently and take responsibility as a member of the work community

Content

The student carries out studies at a company in accordance with what has been agreed in an individual agreement for the course Case Study in Site Management. The content of the course is based on the course-specific and individual competences and learning outcomes (above).

Based on these and from the students' individual career planning, the goals for the individual student are tailored in a collaboration between students, supervisors at the company and the supervisor at the university. The individual goals are written down in "Contract for Building Site Studies in Work Management".

Qualifications

The educational modules Introduction to Building Techniques, Residential and Public Buildings, Mathematics, Internship and the course Introductory Work Safety and Construction Law, or similar knowledge

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The course is graded on a pass/fail basis. To pass the course, students must demonstrate satisfactory performance in the company and in their assignments (work diary and report) as well as in the final presentation.
