Objective

The student will be able to:
- convert units
- explain and apply the basics of structural design for buildings
- identify the forces acting on a building
- implement the theory for calculating loads according to Eurocode
- identify and analyse load distribution in different structural solutions

Content

- Review and calculation of the different weights of different constructions and how the loads are distributed in different designs.
- Loads according to Eurocode: accommodation load, snow load, wind load, traffic load
- Partial security coefficients.
- Use and breaking limit states.
