Objective

The student will be able to:
- understand and use building information modelling (BIM) and 3D modelling of conventional buildings
- work in teams using BIM to enhance efficiency, both in structural and site planning and production, of building projects

Content

- Basic processes and working methods for BIM design, and BIM during the life of the building.
- Overview of the industry's transformation from a Nordic perspective.
- Modeling exercises of frame structures and design in BIM environment and quality assurance of these.

Qualifications

The educational modules Introduction to Building Techniques and Residential and Public Buildings, or similar knowledge

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The course is graded on a pass/fail basis.
The course requires active attendance and participation in lectures and compulsory exercises.
To pass the course, the student must receive a passing grade on all assignments and presentations.
