Objective

The student:
- can describe their own university and industry as well as their own study plan and can follow up on their study progress
- can reflect on their learning, their future and is aware of their own learning style, their studies and future plans with regard to their future profession
- has an understanding of what sustainability means from an ecological, social and economic perspective.
- develops global competence by understanding cultural differences, global connections and the importance of dialogue and collaboration.
- understands the connection between individual and societal choices and global consequences.
- has the ability to reflect on human responsibility in relation to climate, justice and human rights.
- can identify how cooperation and respect for diversity contribute to a sustainable society.

Content

The course provides an introduction to higher education at Novia, your own education and the industry, as well as sustainability from an ecological, social and economic perspective, and highlights why these issues need to be addressed both in everyday life and at the systemic level. The content covers the connection between individual choices and global consequences, as well as the development of global competence through an understanding of diversity, justice and shared responsibility.

To pass the course the student needs fulfill the objectives of the course, and in the relevant realization compulsory parts, at a satisfactory level.
