Objective
The student will be able to:
- apply principles of HVAC and building technology solutions in design, construction and project management to achieve healthy buildings with a good indoor climate
- understand the factors that make up the indoor climate and their impact on health, productivity and perception in order to apply this knowledge in design
- make estimates for thermal comfort, air quality and indoor acoustics
- implement standards and classification methods in design for a good indoor climate
- identify and implement the most common measures for indoor climate deficiencies
- understand the importance of construction and HVAC technology for indoor climate and healthy buildings at a general level
Content
- the foundations of a good indoor climate and healthy house
- typical problems and measures for indoor climate
- calculations of thermal comfort air quality and indoor acoustics
- standards and classifications in indoor climate
- knowledge about risk constructions that can affect the indoor climate in houses from different decades as well as the most common ways to fix these constructions
Qualifications
The educational modules Introduction to Building Techniques and the math course Functions and Equations 1, or similar knowledge
