Objective

The student:
- understands the basics of building physics design
- understands what climate factors and indoor climate mean for buildings and people
- can describe and give examples of heat transfer and thermal insulation
- can calculate U-values
- can calculate and reflect on temperature distribution
- use relevant sources to make calculations

Content

Basic concept in building physics
Climate factors (temperature, wind, precipitation, solar radiation, ground temperature, absolute and relative humidity)
Heat (heat transfer, thermal insulation)
U-value, heat distribution
