Objective

The student will be able to:
- identify suitable foundation methods for small houses and simpler buildings.
- perform dimensioning taking into account load, soil type and building construction.
- interpret and use drawings and technical specifications when planning house foundations.

Content

- Geotechnical carrying capacity and earth pressure
- Simpler project planning (group work)
- Basic methods
- Ramp, frost insulation, radon and drainage

Qualifications

The educational module Introduction to Building Techniques and the math course Functions and Equations 1, or similar knowledge
