Objective
The student will be able to:
- describe how and at what stage costs accumulate in a construction project and what the cost estimate consists of
- use the tools needed for cost estimation
- estimate the costs of a small construction project
- use subject area concepts and terminology in several languages
- visualise the various processes and the entirety of a small construction project
Content
- Quantity calculation
- Working hours calculation
- Supplemental calculation to achieve a comprehensive result
Qualifications
The educational module Introduction to Building Techniques and the math course Functions and Equations 1, or similar knowledge
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
The course is graded on a pass/fail basis.
The course requires active attendance and participation in lectures and compulsory exercises.
To pass the course, the student must receive a passing grade on all assignments and presentations.
